2011 is the 50th Anniversary of the first year of production of the New Generation — and the 50th Anniversary of the end of Two- Cylinder Tractor production in the U.S.A. After that, the tooling for the “730” was moved to Argentina, where production continued until 1970. The “730s” built in Argentina were Electric-Start Diesels.

The Two-Cylinder Club is celebrating Expo XXI by featuring the King of the Two-Cylinder Hi-Crop Tractors, the “730”. There will be emphasis on all John Deere Hi-Crop Tractors at this event, whether they were built at Waterloo, Dubuque, or Argentina; both Two-Cylinder and New Generation!

The Show Toy for Expo XXI will accurately represent the “730” Hi-Crop Diesel ES in exacting detail. The production quantity has been slashed to assure top collector value.

THE SHOW TOY for Expo XXI is the “730” Hi-Crop Diesel with Electric Start. NOTICE: The production run for this toy has been set very low to absolutely assure long-term value as a collectible. It will sell out quickly!

THE AWARD TOY, which will be presented to the owners of each qualifying ag or industrial tractor exhibited at Expo XXI, is THE ARGENTINA-BUILT “730” HI-CROP! You read it right… the fabulous Argentine “730” Hi-Crop, the last of the Two-Cylinders, will be given as a gift of appreciation for and recognition of the work and expense incurred by exhibitors, and they’ll receive one of these valuable 1:16 scale toys for each ag or industrial tractor exhibited.
