This is the seventh and final article in a continuing series about matched working equipment for Numbered Series John Deere Two-Cylinder Tractors. The focus is on equipment paired with the “320”, “420”, “330”, “430”, and “435”.

The No. 4100 designation is clearly visible on the One-Row Cultivator shown here with a
“320” Standard Tractor working in small corn.

The 4100 Series Cultivator was built in six rig and shovel arrangements for various crop requirements, but they are all easily identifiable as a 4100. Different setups were ideal for crops such as cotton, tobacco, tomatoes, and peppers. Perfect for either the Dubuque-built standard tractors, such as the “320”/“330” and “420”/“430”, attaching the 4100 was a fast, easy, one-man job. Want more? Several types of unit planters and unit planting and fertilizing attachments could be mounted on the rear rigs, and front-mounted one-row planting and fertilizing attachments were available for planting many different crops.
